The highly anticipated launch of the Apple iPhone 16 series took place today, generating palpable excitement among consumers across India. Long queues formed outside Apple’s flagship stores in major cities like Mumbai and Delhi, as tech enthusiasts and loyal customers eagerly awaited the chance to buy the latest devices.
At the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) store in Mumbai, a massive crowd gathered overnight. Customers were particularly interested in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, which feature Apple’s largest displays yet at 6.3 and 6.9 inches, respectively. These premium models also come equipped with advanced features, including ultra-thin borders and an Always-On 120Hz ProMotion display.
One dedicated customer, Ujjwal Shah, shared his remarkable experience after waiting in line for an incredible 21 hours. "I have been standing in the queue since 11 am yesterday and I will be the first one to enter the store today at 8 am. I’m very excited today... The atmosphere in Mumbai for this phone is absolutely new," he said, reflecting on his commitment compared to last year's 17-hour wait.
Similarly, long lines were observed outside the Apple Saket store in New Delhi. Akshay, a customer from Surat, expressed his satisfaction after purchasing the iPhone 16 Pro Max. "The camera is a game-changer, and I'm glad I came all the way to get it," he stated, praising the improved zoom capabilities and the new iOS 18 features.
The iPhone 16 series, which includes the base model, iPhone 16 Plus, and the Pro versions, has attracted customers from across the country, with many traveling from cities such as Ahmedabad, Nagpur, and Bengaluru. The new Desert Titanium color has emerged as a crowd favorite, adding to the overall appeal of the latest offerings.
