With this performance, Bumrah's ranking points surged to a career-high of 883, putting him back at No. 1.

Bumrah's teammate, Mohammed Siraj, also made a notable rise, climbing to 25th place after picking up 5 wickets in the match. In the ICC Test batting rankings, Yashasvi Jaiswal's brilliant 161 saw him move up to second place, behind only England's Joe Root.
