Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Prayagraj on Friday, hailed the 2025 Maha Kumbh as a "mahayagya of unity" that would elevate the country's cultural and spiritual identity. Addressing a public meeting, Modi emphasized that the Maha Kumbh brings people together, transcending caste and sect divisions. He inaugurated 167 significant development projects worth Rs 5,500 crore to enhance Prayagraj's infrastructure in preparation for the upcoming Kumbh Mela.

Among the projects was the launch of Sah'AI'yak Chatbot, an AI-based platform designed to streamline communication for the millions of devotees attending the Maha Kumbh. Before his public address, the Prime Minister performed a ceremonial puja and darshan at the sacred Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, and took a river cruise to mark the occasion. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined him at the puja.

The 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, will be held from January 13 to February 26. The event, which takes place every 12 years, attracts millions of pilgrims from across India and abroad.
