Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has expressed his heartfelt congratulations to JD Vance for his victory as US Vice President-elect, calling it a historic moment not only for the United States but also for the Telugu community worldwide. Naidu particularly highlighted the significance of Usha Chilukuri Vance, Vance’s wife, who is set to become the first Second Lady of the United States of Telugu heritage.

Usha Vance, who hails from the village of Vadluru in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, will make history as the first Indian-American woman to hold the position of Second Lady. Vadluru is located near Tanuku, a town in the lush Godavari region, about 35 km from Bhimavaram. At 38 years old, Usha Vance’s ascent to the role is seen as a moment of immense pride for the Telugu community globally.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Naidu congratulated JD Vance for his victory and expressed that Usha Vance’s achievement represents a significant milestone for the Indian-American community and the Telugu people, in particular. Naidu emphasized that her rise to the role of Second Lady would be a source of great pride for the people of Andhra Pradesh, and he extended a warm invitation for the Vance family to visit the state.

Naidu also congratulated Donald Trump for his win in the 2024 US Presidential Elections, expressing confidence that the victory would strengthen ties between India and the United States. He noted that Trump's first term had already seen significant advancements in the Indo-US partnership, particularly in areas such as trade, defense, and technology, and he is optimistic that the collaboration will continue to grow under the leadership of Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This diplomatic note underlines the importance of the Trump-Vance victory in fostering stronger relations between the two countries. As India and the United States continue to work on shared goals, Naidu anticipates greater cooperation, especially in areas of economic development and global security.
