  • Pithapuram, janasena, pawan kalyan

Pawan Kalyan unsuccessfully contested from Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram constituencies in the 2019 election. Incidentally, Pawan has changed his track for the 2024 election as he opted out of the two mentioned constituencies and instead moved to Pithapuram.

Incidentally, Nagababu has now revealed the reason behind the move to Pithapuram and here is an interesting tidbit on the same.

"Much before the elections, He had a calling from Sripada Sri Vallabha Swamy. And decided to change his constituency. In 2019 he contested from Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka, but this time he wanted to stick to one, hence choose Pithapuram. Also, it being a small constituency, geographical." Nagababu said on this matter.

Another caste-centric reason could be that Pithapuram is densely populated by Kapu voters and this could perfectly sit into the gameplay of Janasena which is looking to benefit from the Kapu voter base in the Godavari districts.

Either way, Janasena leaders appear to be heavily invested in Pawan winning Pithapuram this term. But the electoral race will be a tough one with YCP having fielded a senior candidate in Vanga Geetha.
