Election Crime: Cases Filed On 3 YCP MLAs

A war-like situation was seen in certain assembly segments in Andhra Pradesh yesterday as the YCP and TDP factions came face to face in electoral clashes. While the situation was particularly detrimental in the Palnadu area(Narsaraopeta), a similar scene was seen in other parts of AP as well.

According to the latest reports, as many as 3 YCP MLAs have been booked in election crime cases and this includes Annabathuni Siva Kumar who slapped a commoner after being questioned about cutting the queue. The EC ordered a police case and thorough investigation on the YCP candidate from Tenali.

Next, we have the former finance minister of AP Buggana Rajendranath Reddy who is also under the police radar after an SC/ST atrocity case was filed against him in his own Dhone constituency. Independent candidate Babu alleged that Buggana's men attacked the men of his community.

YCP Candidate from Mydukur, Raghurami Reddy is also facing police action as he has been named in a riots case after clashes broke out in Mydukur last afternoon.
