Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has responded to a surge of complaints regarding alleged fraudulent activities linked to the previous YCP government’s housing scheme. Many grievances raised during the Praja Darbar program highlight accusations that public representatives under the YCP administration engaged in illicit land grabs under the guise of housing development. This has prompted CM Naidu to direct the vigilance department to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the transactions and acquisitions associated with the housing scheme.

The issue has become particularly contentious in Jagan Mohan Reddy's own constituency of Pulivendula, where an investigation is underway to scrutinize any potential mishandling or corruption related to the housing program. Should the investigation uncover significant discrepancies or misconduct, it could lead to substantial embarrassment for Reddy in his political stronghold.

Reports indicate that the housing program implemented by the YCP government may have been fraught with corruption at every stage, from land surveying and acquisition to construction. The mounting complaints have alarmed both CM Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, leading to the likelihood of a more in-depth investigation by the CID or ACB. CM Naidu’s response reflects the seriousness with which the administration is treating these allegations.
