Chandrababu Naidu has emerged as a pivotal figure in the NDA government, significantly influencing the allocation of funds to Andhra Pradesh following the recent elections. With the support of 18 MPs, including Janasena, Naidu played a crucial role in helping Narendra Modi’s BJP retain power for a third consecutive term. This political leverage has translated into substantial financial assistance for Andhra Pradesh, addressing key developmental issues in the state.

The 2024 budget reflects a notable boost for Andhra Pradesh, with a major allocation of 15,000 Crore designated for the capital city Amaravati, which had been neglected over the past five years. Additionally, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has committed to accelerating the completion of the Polavaram Irrigation Project, with the central government providing 12,000 Crore for its first phase. This funding is expected to address the delays caused by previous administration neglect and expedite progress on this critical project.

Further enhancing Andhra Pradesh's development prospects, the NDA government has sanctioned additional funds for industrial infrastructure. A total of 2,137 Crore has been allocated for industrial corridors in Kopparthi, YSR District, and 2,786 Crore for Orvakal in Kurnool District. These investments are part of the larger vision to develop 10 smart industrial cities across the country. The infusion of funds promises to invigorate economic growth and infrastructure development in Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant step forward for the state’s progress.
