Telangana MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who was detained in Tihar Jail for five and a half months in connection with the Delhi Liquor Scam, has been granted bail and has returned to Telangana. Upon her return, she met with her father and mentor,  K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). This development has sparked controversy, particularly with Telangana CM Revanth Reddy alleging that Kavitha's bail may have resulted from a possible deal between the BRS and BJP. Reddy also questioned the discrepancy in bail duration, noting that Kavitha was granted bail in a shorter time compared to her co-accused, Manish Sisodia, who spent 15 months in prison.

Revanth Reddy's comments have drawn criticism from the Supreme Court of India. During a hearing related to a petition to move the trial of the note-for-vote case against Reddy outside Telangana, the Supreme Court, led by Justice BR Gavai, expressed discontent with Reddy's allegations. The Court questioned whether decisions were being made on political grounds and suggested that any claim of political influence in judicial orders could justify moving the trial outside the state. Despite the harsh remarks, the Supreme Court has decided to take up the matter again on Monday, continuing the legal scrutiny surrounding the case.
