In a significant development amidst ongoing political discourse, the TDP coalition government has received preliminary reports from IIT Chennai and IIT Hyderabad confirming the integrity of various building foundations in Amaravati. These buildings, which have been exposed to fluctuating water levels and weather conditions over the past five years under YCP rule, include crucial structures such as the High Court, Secretariat, and departmental offices.

Experts from both IITs were tasked with assessing the construction quality of these foundations, which had been left in a state of neglect due to changing plans by the previous government. The Chennai IIT team conducted their inspection via boat, examining the foundations by cutting sections and testing the strength of the construction materials, including rusted iron rods. These materials underwent chemical treatment and were approved for continued use.

The Hyderabad IIT team carried out similar evaluations for buildings intended for MLAs, MLCs, AIS officers, Group-I officers, NGOs, and Class IV employees. Their analysis also confirmed that the construction quality met the required standards.

Both IIT teams have submitted their preliminary findings and are expected to provide a final report in the coming days. The positive assessments from these prestigious institutions are expected to reassure stakeholders and support the TDP coalition government's plans to proceed with the construction and development of Amaravati.
