After a prolonged silence, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, former advisor to the YCP government, addressed the media to vehemently criticize Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Reddy took aim at Naidu's allegations regarding the sacred Srivari laddu, specifically claims that beef tallow and fish oil were included in its preparation. He argued that such statements not only undermine the credibility of the YCP but also harm the faith of Hindu devotees.

Reddy expressed that Naidu's comments reflect a new low for the Chief Minister, stating, “His allegations about the Tirupati laddu show the mean levels to which the CM can stoop.” He accused the TDP of orchestrating a nationwide misinformation campaign to falsely suggest adulteration of the laddu, a beloved offering at Tirupati.

The former advisor emphasized the serious repercussions of Naidu's remarks, asserting that they jeopardize the trust and belief that devotees have in the sacred prasadam. To substantiate his claims, Reddy presented a report indicating that there was no animal fat in the laddu, with the word 'negative' marked in the relevant section. “This shows there has been no adulteration manually,” he affirmed, stressing the importance of maintaining the laddu's sanctity.

In light of Naidu’s allegations, Reddy expressed concern that even the most devout followers might hesitate to partake in the laddu prasadam. He called for an immediate and thorough inquiry into the matter, demanding that a sitting judge oversee the investigation.

Reddy also urged for the interrogation of individuals involved with the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) during the YCP’s governance, including prominent figures such as YV Subba Reddy, AV Dharma Reddy, and Bhumana Karunakar Reddy.

As the controversy unfolds, the YCP remains adamant about defending the integrity of the Tirupati laddu and restoring the faith of its devotees.
