The controversy surrounding the alleged adulteration of the revered Tirumala Laddu has taken a new turn, with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan now summoned by the Hyderabad City Civil Court. This legal action stems from remarks made by Kalyan, in which he criticized Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s administration for flawed ghee-supply contracts that allegedly put the holy laddu in a negative light.

A practicing advocate, Rama Rao, filed a case against Kalyan, claiming that his premature statements regarding the Tirumala Laddu hurt Hindu sentiments and spread misinformation. In response to the allegations, the Hyderabad City Civil Court has ordered Kalyan to personally appear for a hearing on November 22.

The summons follows a preliminary investigation into the case, focusing on whether Kalyan's comments were based on verified facts or unfounded claims. This development adds to the ongoing political tensions in Andhra Pradesh, as Kalyan, the Janasena Party chief, prepares to defend his statements in court.

As the situation unfolds, both Kalyan and the political landscape in Andhra Pradesh are under scrutiny, raising questions about the implications of this legal battle for Kalyan's political career and the broader discourse on the integrity of sacred practices in the state.
