- ChandrababuNaidu, Amaravati
Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is poised to reshape Amaravati into a vibrant capital, much like he did with Hyderabad in the late 90s and early 2000s. Naidu participated in the two-day Drone Summit that commenced today in Amaravati, where he highlighted the revolutionary potential of drone technology for the state and the nation.
During his address, Naidu stated that drone technology could become a game-changer, particularly in disaster management. He noted that drones were effectively utilized to distribute food and water to flood victims in Vijayawada, demonstrating their practical applications in emergency response.
Reflecting on his tenure as Chief Minister of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh since 1995, Naidu recounted his relentless efforts to develop Hyderabad into a leading IT hub, underscoring the significance of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) in building Hi-Tech City during that era.
Naidu emphasized the importance of 'data' as the new wealth, stating, "If data is aligned with Artificial Intelligence (AI), we can create wonders." He articulated a vision where drones could revolutionize various sectors, including agriculture, basic amenities, and traffic management.
Additionally, he pointed out the potential of drones in the fields of medicine and defense, indicating that the Andhra Pradesh government is exploring extensive use of drone technology in the police department to enhance law and order.
With these initiatives, Naidu aims to position Amaravati as a modern capital that leverages technology for sustainable development and improved governance.
