US Election News Live Updates: As the U.S. campaign intensifies, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican candidate Donald Trump have been presenting starkly different messages regarding the election, each accusing the other of posing a "threat to democracy."

US Presidential Election Live: As the November 5 presidential election draws near, a poll conducted by Reuters indicates that Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris holds a slim 3-point lead over Republican Donald Trump, with 45% of voters supporting Harris and 42% backing Trump. The latest survey, which concluded on Sunday, suggests that Democrats may be more energized about this election than they were before the 2020 election, in which Democrat Joe Biden defeated Trump.

As the campaigns heat up, Harris and Trump continue to present contrasting narratives. Harris has stated that “Trump is a threat to democracy.” Speaking at an event in Malvern, Pennsylvania—one of the critical battleground states—Harris, 60, remarked, “In many, many ways, Donald Trump is an unserious man, but the consequences of him being president of the United States are brutally serious.”

On the other hand, Trump disputes claims that he is a threat to democracy. Instead, he argues that Democrats are the ones endangering democracy, pointing to the criminal investigations he and his associates have faced for their attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

With conflicts continuing in the Middle East, Russia, and Ukraine, the U.S. presidential race is being closely watched worldwide, as the outcome may have significant implications for future international negotiations.
