Tensions within the YS household have escalated significantly since YS Jagan became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 2019. Once a close-knit family, rifts have grown between Jagan and his sister Sharmila, culminating in open dissent from her side. In a dramatic development, Jagan has filed a legal petition against Sharmila and their mother, Vijayamma.

Reports from national media indicate that Jagan, alongside his wife Bharati, has approached the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) regarding a dispute over share allocation in Saraswati Power and Industries Private Limited. The petition allegedly includes derogatory terms, with Jagan insinuating that Sharmila's actions have been deceptive, though he refrains from naming her directly.

The crux of the dispute lies in the ownership of shares in the company, which the Jagan family claims to have significantly increased in value. They assert that they are no longer willing to share these benefits with Sharmila, especially after her pursuit of a separate political identity and her growing opposition to Jagan’s leadership.

Initially, Jagan had intended to allocate certain shares to Sharmila in August 2019, motivated by familial ties. However, the evolving political landscape and Sharmila's public dissent have led him to retract that offer.

With this legal move, the family feud has transitioned from vocal disagreements to a court battle, raising questions about the potential for further legal ramifications. As the situation unfolds, the future of the YS family's relationships—and their political dynamics—remains uncertain.
