In a surprising turn of events, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's convoy was involved in a major road accident in Thiruvananthapuram, attracting widespread attention on social media. The incident occurred at Vamanapuram Park Junction when the CM's convoy, traveling without prior traffic regulation, collided with multiple vehicles.

As the convoy was moving along with the public, a scooter unexpectedly crossed in front of the lead vehicle. The abrupt braking led to a chain reaction, causing several vehicles in the convoy—five in total, including the CM's car—to collide. Fortunately, CM Vijayan escaped the incident without any injuries and continued on his way promptly.

Security personnel quickly surrounded the area to manage the situation and clear the traffic. This unusual sight of a chief minister's vehicle being involved in an accident raised eyebrows among locals and highlighted the potential risks associated with allowing convoys to travel without traffic clearance.

While many CMs opt to have their convoys regulated to ensure safety, Vijayan’s decision to travel alongside the public nearly resulted in a serious situation. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and the responsibilities that come with public office.
