Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump recently took to X (formerly Twitter), promising to safeguard Hindu Americans and enhance collaboration with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In his post, Trump also condemned the ongoing violence against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh, pledging to protect Hindu Americans if he wins the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

The former president criticized President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, accusing them of neglecting the issues faced by Hindus globally, especially amidst reported atrocities. Trump’s post declared, “I strongly condemn the barbaric violence against Hindus, Christians, and other minorities who are being attacked and looted by mobs in Bangladesh, which remains in a total state of chaos.”

Trump attributed this situation to what he called the “disaster” of the Biden administration’s policies, adding, “This would have never happened on my watch. Kamala and Joe have ignored Hindus across the world and in America. They have failed from Israel to Ukraine to our own Southern Border. But we will Make America Strong Again and bring back Peace through Strength!”

In a bid to bolster his outreach to Hindu Americans, Trump’s comments come at a time when he is actively positioning himself as a proponent of peace and security for minority groups, both domestically and internationally.
