- Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu, Cabinet Reshuffle, Telugu Desam Party, Minister Performance
Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is reportedly planning to reshuffle his cabinet after the Sankranti festival in January. Sources close to the power center in the state suggest that Naidu is dissatisfied with the performance of three to four ministers in the current cabinet and is considering dropping them during the reshuffle. These ministers have allegedly been given hints about their potential removal from the cabinet.
One of the ministers who might face the axe is state home minister Vangalapudi Anitha. Sources indicate that Naidu, like Pawan Kalyan, is unhappy with her performance, particularly her tendency to stay in Hyderabad rather than being present in Vijayawada or Amaravati. There are rumors within the party that Naidu may have prompted Pawan Kalyan to criticize Anitha, as direct criticism from the chief minister could send a negative message given her SC community background.
Another minister at risk of being sacked is state labor minister Vasamsetti Subhash, who was reprimanded by Naidu during a recent teleconference with ministers and in-charge ministers of East Godavari district. Naidu expressed dissatisfaction with Subhash's lack of enthusiasm in enrolling voters in the graduates' constituency in the district, warning him to improve his performance or face being dropped from the cabinet.
Additional ministers reportedly facing the threat of losing their cabinet positions include Kondapalli Srinivasa, B C Janardhan Reddy, and M Ramprasad Reddy. Naidu's potential cabinet reshuffle is anticipated to bring in new faces and reorganize key positions within the government.
