Andhra Pradesh is set to make a significant leap in the green energy sector under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. His commitment to sustainable development is evident through a new joint venture between NTPC Green Energy Ltd. and NREDCAP, which aims to set up renewable energy projects worth Rs 2,00,000 crore in the state. Following the enforcement of the new ICE Policy 2024, these projects will focus on the installation of 25 GW of solar and wind energy capacity, 10 GW of pumped storage, and 0.5 MMTPA of Green Hydrogen.
This initiative is expected to generate over one lakh jobs, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a major player in India’s green energy revolution.
