- BR Naidu, TTD Chairman, TDP, TV5 Media, Chandrababu Naidu, reforms, laddus quality
BR Naidu, a prominent media figure and owner of TV5 Media, has traditionally been a reserved individual, rarely making public appearances despite leading a major media channel. However, his recent appointment as the Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has marked a change in his approach. Naidu has become more vocal and has started participating in media interviews, shedding light on his long-standing association with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and his aspirations for the TTD.
In a recent interview, Naidu shared that he had been with TDP since its inception, having joined immediately after Sr. NTR launched the party. Over the past 42 years, he worked quietly for the party, never seeking power or favors. He spoke about his long-time desire to serve as the TTD chairman and how, after meeting Chandrababu Naidu, his wish was fulfilled when the TDP leader acknowledged his efforts and supported his aspiration.
Since assuming office as TTD chairman, BR Naidu has focused on a series of reforms aimed at improving the temple's services. These include enhancing the quality of laddus, reducing waiting times for Sarvadarshan, implementing Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) for non-Hindu employees at TTD, and other significant changes intended to streamline operations at the TTD board.
