- Andhra Pradesh, Google, AI Data Center Vizag
The NDA-led government of Andhra Pradesh is making significant strides in inviting global investments to the state. A major milestone was reached today with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the government of Andhra Pradesh and Google, marking the beginning of a strong partnership.
The MoU focuses on establishing an AI Data Center in Vizag, which will be operated by Google Cloud. This confirms Google's entry into Andhra Pradesh as part of its tech expansion across India. CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu highlighted the importance of this MoU, stating that the state's new industrial policies have created a business-friendly environment that attracts top global investors and generates employment opportunities.
Earlier in the day, CM Naidu met with a Google delegation, led by VP Bikash Koley, in Amaravati. During the meeting, the delegation shared its plans for India and emphasized the significance of Andhra Pradesh as a key partner in Google's operations.
This partnership with Google is expected to pave the way for other leading companies to invest in the state. Additionally, the Andhra Pradesh government is also in active discussions with Tesla, seeking to bring the global automotive giant to the state.
