Amaravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, is rapidly progressing toward becoming a major metropolis. While current developments include state government buildings and prominent educational institutions like VIT and SRM, the city is gaining significant attention from top companies across various sectors.
Following the recent elections, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister and key figure behind Amaravati's vision, has resumed leadership with a renewed focus on shaping the city's future. Over ₹26,000 crore has already been raised for its development, and various companies are eager to set up operations in the city.
Several companies have already been allotted land in Amaravati, and more are requesting space. Among the notable names are IRCTC, which has sought 3 acres for its operations, and major hospitality brands like the Taj Group and Oberoi, both of which are requesting 10 acres each to build luxury hotels. Taj plans to build a large hotel and convention center, while Oberoi is expanding its footprint in the state. Additionally, the Raheja Group, a prominent player in construction, has requested 5 acres of land to establish its operations in Amaravati.
With the CRDA (Capital Region Development Authority) beginning to allocate land to these companies, Amaravati’s infrastructure and economy are set to grow, making it a key city in the region’s future development.
