On Day 5 of the Paris Paralympics 2024, Indian athletes continued to shine on the global stage. Nitesh Kumar delivered an outstanding performance in the Men's Singles SL3 para badminton final, earning India’s second gold medal of the Games. Earlier in the day, Yogesh Kathuniya secured India’s first medal of the day, clinching a silver in the men's discus throw F56 Final.

As the day progresses, badminton stars Suhas Yathiraj and Thulasimathi Murugesan are set to compete in their respective gold medal matches. Additionally, shooters Nihal Singh and Amir Ahmad Bhat will participate in the P3 - mixed 25m pistol SH1 qualification precision event. Archery enthusiasts can look forward to seeing Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar in the mixed team compound open quarterfinals. Later, Sumit Antil will take to the field in the men’s javelin throw event, adding to the excitement of India’s Paralympic campaign.
