Legendary Australian wicketkeeper-batter Adam Gilchrist has praised the team’s captain, Pat Cummins, for leading Australia to a dominant 10-wicket win in the second Test, which leveled the five-match series 1-1 after their heavy loss in Perth. Gilchrist believes Australia was "stung" by criticism following their 295-run defeat in the opening match and noted that Cummins' controlled aggression was key to their return to form.

Gilchrist highlighted Cummins' emotional celebrations, which he described as evidence of the team's frustration with their performance in Perth and the desire to prove themselves in Adelaide. He also mentioned Cummins' performance as a "grease and oil change" after the disappointing match.

The Australian pace trio, including Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Scott Boland, were instrumental in the victory, taking all 20 Indian wickets, while Nathan Lyon played a minimal role with just one over. Gilchrist lauded the trio's unity and collective effort in dismantling the Indian team.
