When star heroes films are released, fans of various stars fight on social media not only on the film's content and the performances, mass elevations, and looks but also on the film's collections. In order to please the fans, the makers of the star heroes films are forced to bloat the collections and release the posters. This is in fact tarnishing the film industry. The trend of fake collections is rampant in Tollywood and it is known that based on these staggering claims even government authorities like Income Tax conducted raids and based on these fake collections AP government headed by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy decided to target the entire industry by slashing the ticket rates.

In Bollywood, the situation is different even for the top stars' films. Within days the collections are revealed by the top film critics and mostly they look genuine. This is because fans of the top stars do not indulge in social media wars. Coming to the south, Sandalwood and Mollywood is different. Though they try to make tall claims, they do not overdo it. On top of it, Sandalwood is still taking baby steps with a few films like KGF creating a sensation across the country. Mollywood is known for content-driven films. But coming to Kollywood and Tollywood, fans of top stars indulge in a slugfest.

Even for a disaster, below average, and flop films, the makers come up with tall claims and organize success parties and come up with record collections posters. But what they are forgetting is one cannot deny or bury the result and the final outcome. Collections revelation in Tollywood became corrupted a long time back. While few heroes are coming with conditions that the collections shouldn't be revealed making the producers helpless, other stars are beforehand telling the producers to come with so and so collection numbers. So the first day, first weekend, and second-week collections claims on the posters do not add up and finally, no one is aware of the real collections.

The makers are not coming up with the official announcement about the film's collections, gross, net, first-week collections breakup, etc. Stars are having their own PR team that manages the websites which make tall claims as to the official tracker of the film's collections. While few websites supporting the stars come with inflated collections, other websites opposing the stars come up with deflated collections. Overall this trend is tarnishing the Tollywood completely.
