Naga Chaitanya is currently busy with Custody which is being directed by Venkat Prabhu. The action thriller is up for theatrical release next year. Now, the discussion is about Chaitanya's web series with Amazon Prime Video - Dhootha.
Dhootha was grandly announced by Amazon Prime Video at their annual event in Mumbai a few months ago. But that's about it. There hasn't been a single update on the series ever since.
It was initially announced that the series would stream on Amazon Prime Video from this December. But that doesn't appear to be the case anymore as it is heard that there are a handful of complications associated with the same.
Firstly, it is heard that Amazon's quality control team is not pleased with the output churned out by the director Vikram K Kumar and Naga Chaitanya. They had already commissioned reshoots. And now, the final round of editing is going on and more changes might be made to the final output.
Amazon is not likely to release this paranormal thriller series until and unless they are fully satisfied with the output. So, it could be quite a while before Dhootha sees daylight.
