Gudur Narayana Reddy, an inspired filmmaker who produced attention-grabbing period actioner, Razakar has now shared his insight on the film. Here's what he had to say about the film that brings to life the series of incidents that created a blood bath in the history of Telangana.
"I sourced Rs 50 crore for the film which is an earnest and upright attempt to call out the gruesome history of the blood bath done by the Nizams some 75 years ago. We have over 1600 CGI shots which is next to Baahubali. This film brings to life our painful history and I hope it enlightens not just the people of Telangana but all of India." Narayana Reddy said.
The educated producer likened Razakar's plot to the Nazi movement and tipped it to be even worse. "At least Hitler didn't kill his own German citizens, but in the case of Razakars, they tortured our own people."
Narayana Reddy said it is natural for historically dependant films like Razakar to draw a polar response but he added that the entire film is a representation of what really happened. Gudur Narayana Reddy said he even got death threats during the making of the film.
The producer said Sardar Vallabhai Patel is the father of Telangana for safeguarding the interest of Telangana and prevented it from becoming another Afghanistan under the Nizam's tyrannical rule.
Razakar hit the big screens today, March 15th and the film is certain to lead to several discussions as it is a representation of the bloodbath that happened 75 years ago in Telangana.
