The Japanese box office has been a kind one for RRR as the film is shattering records left right center there. The latest news is that the Rajamouli directorial has emerged as the fastest Indian film to have grossed 250 million Yen at the Japanese box office.
RRR has grossed over 250 million Yen at the Japanese box office in just 3 weeks and 6 days while the previous best was in the name of Baahubali 2 which took 36 weeks to achieve this feat.
RRR is now the fastest Indian 250 million Yen grosser in Japan and it would take some doing for any other film to achieve this feat in the future. Such has been the kind of rampage the Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer is incurring at the box office there.
NTR and Charan, along with Rajamouli aggressively promoted the film in Japan ahead of its theatrical release and all the hard work is evidently paying off as the film is going bonkers in this small yet noticeable international market.
This should also boost the Oscars campaign of RRR which has entered the race for Academy awards in the general category. International box office acclaim might validate the film's run for the Oscars.
