Gopichand Malineni, who is directing Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy, and Bobby, who is directing Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya are now in the firing line for trying to over hype their films.

Gopichand says Veera Simha Reddy is a mass overload feast, while Bobby calls Veerayya a Mass Poonakalu fair. At the media addressal the other day, Bobby went on and on for close to half an hour as he spoke about the mass content the film has.

While the directors might be confident about the content, their acts of trying to set up over expectations on the film are not sitting well with fans either.

Both Mega and Nandamuri fans are saying that these directors should refrain from such over hyping exercises. They point out that such attempts can backfire big time if the wrong anticipation is set on the film.

Moreover, it is never wise to set the wrong expectations for a regular mass entertainer. If th content is good, the audience themselves will lap up the film. There's no need for the directors to go beyond threshold to imply they've rolled out a winning film.
