Megastar Chiranjeevi made a mass comeback with Waltair Veerayya which went on a pretty strong run at the box office despite the weak reviews. It is on course to become the biggest hit in Chiranjeevi's career.
At such a pinnacle point in his career, Chiranjeevi is trying something unexpected as he looks set to okay projects with outdated directors like VV Vinayak and Puri Jagannadh.
Apparently, Chiru intends to the Telugu remake of Tamil star Ajith's hit film, Viswasam with VV Vinayak. He knows Vinayak is a pro at handling remakes, like the way he did with Khaidi No. 150 and hence, Megastar is entrusting Vinayak with the remake of Viswasam.
Then there are also reports that Chiru could be doing a film with Puri Jagannadh, which is in the consideration stage now. Chiru has reportedly asked Puri to come up with an original script that suits his image.
The problem here is that both these filmmakers are dated and are badly out of form. But that isn't stopping Chiru from testing the waters with them. These projects arent confirmed yet but they are likely to materialize in the near future.
