OTT: Can Balakrishna evoke mass with Veera Simha Reddy

Shortly after the OTT debut of Akhanda earlier last year, social media was flooded with post pertaining to the film. The action sequences and the splendid background score by Thaman were all over the internet back then.
Now, Balakrishna’s newest theatrical outing, Veera Simha Reddy is headed for its OTT debut. The film is set for its OTT premieres on Disney+ Hotstar at 6 PM today.
Much like Akhanda, Veera Simha Reddy also has mass appeal. Maybe not quite as much as Akhanda, but Veera is in close vicinity as far as action sequences go.
The first half is loaded with many such action sequences and they have the potential to wreak havoc on OTT. Also, Thaman’s background score for certain sequences in the film is of top tier quality.
All in all, the expectations are high on Veera Simha Reddy as it premieres on the 23rd of this month. Can Balakrishna evoke his trademark mass on OTT again? We shall wait and see.
