Telugu Desam Party scion Nara Lokesh is currently an MLC from Andhra Pradesh as he still enjoys the privilege after being nominated for the same by the previous TDP government.

But Lokesh is set to lose out on this key MLC post very soon as his tenure is drawing to a close.

From the 29th of March, Lokesh will no longer be an MLC in Andhra Pradesh. He will be losing out on the public representation tag. The government of Andhra Pradesh that has been going particularly hard against the TDP has notified about the same.

Along with Lokesh, 7 other MLCs will be losing their posts from the 29th of March. Related notifications have been passed already.

New MLCs will be announced on the 23rd of March. With YCP’s staggering lead in the assembly, they should be getting all the MLC posts through MLA votes.

Previously, Lokesh was appointed as an MLC by the MLAs power that TDO had back then. He went on to serve as the minister of three different ministries back then.
