In view of the cross voting in the recently held MLC elections, the ruling party of Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP has suspended 4 of its MLAs effectively immediately.

The party spokesperson, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy who is also a trusted associate of the chief minister, YS Jagan announced that the party has decided to sack four MLAs.

The said 4 MLAs are Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, Undavalli Aruna, Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, and Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy.

All four of these MLAs were suspended effective immediately and there could more disciplinary action against them from Jagan and also the YSRCP disciplinary committee in the due course.

While Anam and Kotamreddy have been openly rebeling against the YSRCP, the reluctance of the other MLAs in the list is unexpected.

This sets the stage for the 2024 general elections ever so perfectly and it has to be seen how the action unfolds in the next few weeks after the MLC saga.
