Malayalam cinema has the knack of producing a flurry of well conceived blockbusters and the latest addition to the list is 2018.
2018 is based on the horrific 2018 Kerala floods and the film has Malayalam stars like Tovino Thomas, Vineeth Srinivasan and others in the lead roles. It was a smashing success in the native Kerala market.
Now, the latest news is that the film is headed for its OTT premieres and here is an interesting update in this context.
The post theatrical rights of 2018 are with Sony Liv and the film will be made available for streaming in multiple languages on the OTT platform from the 7th of June.
The same was confirmed by Sony Liv earlier and the anticipation is now on the OTT arrival of the survival action thriller that is based on real incidents.
The film is expected to be a blockbuster on OTT as well, given that the OTT audience have a liking for films like these.
