Adipurush, a retelling of the timeless classic, Ramayan has opened on a blockbuster note at the box office. The film has started off on a Rs 150 crore opening at the global box office and that's not all, it is still continuing the momentum.
According to the latest reports, Adipurush has collected a monstrous Rs 150 crores gross globally on its opening day. The film has clearly started on a stellar note at the global box office.
Adipurush opened to mixed reviews yesterday but the Prabhas factor has come into play and paired with the timeless classic theme of Ramayan to work wonderfully for Adipurush at the box office.
With Adipurush clocking Rs 150 crore, Prabhas becomes the first Indian hero to have three Rs 100 Cr+ opening day grossers at the global box office. He had already done it with Baahubali 2 and Saaho.
Adipurush is on course to maintain the momentum further over the weekend and make the most of the stellar start it got at the box office. The film is likely to emerge as one of the biggest opening weekends for an Indian film till date.
