People Media losing Rs 100 crore on Adipurush?

Prior to the release of Prabhas's Adipurush, it was extensively reported that People Media Factory had spent over Rs 170 crores on the theatrical rights of the film in the South Indian region.
Add the promotions and publicity costs and the price will go up that much more and end in the range of Rs 180-190 crore.
In the two-weekend run that Adipurush had till now, it just about managed to gross Rs 130 crore. The exact share amount is unknown but it could be in the range of Rs 80-90 crore.
In that case, it would mean that Adipurush will end up incurring losses to the tune of Rs 100 crores with the traditionally strong Telugu states also falling flat.
There is no contribution from the Tamil and Malayala, belts which is another major bummer for the film. This will go down as a huge loss venture for everyone involved and the production house will be hoping to recover the losses from Spirit and Salaar.
