All the while, the opposition parties in the state and their leaders - Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu were of the opinion that the chief minister YS Jagan could cancel the assembly any time and go for early election.

Pawan and Chandrababu had even asked their party leaders to be prepared for the early elections, whenever they come.

Cut to now, the chief minister has decided against the prospect of early elections and he has instead decided to go with standard electoral timeline in Andhra Prades. The same is confirmed in Jagan's meeting with his party troops recently.

Jagan has apparently informed the top brass in his party that he will not go for early elections and confirmed that AP will go to poll only in April next year.

This confirmed that the YCP government is not going for early elections in Andhra Pradesh. The stage is now set for the general election which are just under 9 months from now.
