Tollywood is gearing up for a big 2024 with multiple projects including Devara, Pushpa 2 and Prabhas's Kalki gearing up for the theatrical release this year.

Interestingly, two of these three biggies, Devara and Pushpa 2 are acquired by Netflix. The OTT giant has announced that they hold the OTT rights of these two films.

On the other hand, Amazon Prime Video has gone completely silent in the Telugu market. The other Telugu biggie of 2023, Guntur Kaaram has also gone with Netflix as its OTT partner.

So essentially, Netflix has bagged 3 of the 4 big superstar films that are arriving this year. The only remaining film is Kalki and if this is also bagged by Netflix then it means that the OTT giant will sweep all of Tollywood's biggest releases of 2023.

For some odd reason, Amazon has decided to slow down big time in the Telugu market and this has come as an unexpected move from the OTT giant at a time when the Indian OTT market is booming.
