The alliance has won the election by a staggering 164-seat majority in the AP assembly while the incumbent YSR Congress outfit got shattered as the party went down from 151 seats in 2019 to 11 seats in 2024.
The YS Jagan led government has slipped to the deepest of trenches with its disastrous performance in the election, to an extent that each and every single former cabinet minister lost the polls.
This is the most polarized election in the history of Andhra Pradesh as the ruling party getting confined to 11 seats immediately after winning 80% majority in the house has never happened.
Apart from Jagan, only 10 of his fellow party contestant to scrape through the election and managed to get out in winning ways. Former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy doesn't even have the opposition leader status now.
