The recent landslide in Wayanad district of Kerala has drawn widespread attention and resulted in a massive tragedy across the state. In response, Army officials and various disaster response forces are working tirelessly to restore normalcy. Among those contributing to the efforts is the renowned actor Mohanlal.

Mohanlal, who holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Territorial Army, arrived in the landslide-affected Wayanad on Saturday, dressed in his army uniform. It is heartening to see the actor setting aside his professional commitments to collaborate with officials in alleviating the district's dire situation.

In addition to his presence, Mohanlal has pledged 3 crore rupees towards the rehabilitation efforts for the disaster-stricken region. He is actively involved in relief activities at the Meppadi army camp.

"I salute the courage of the selfless volunteers, policemen, Fire & Rescue, NDRF, army soldiers, government officials, and every person working tirelessly to provide relief to the victims of the Wayanad disaster. I am grateful for the efforts of my 122 Infantry Battalion, TA Madras, who have been at the forefront of the relief mission. We have faced challenges before and emerged stronger. I pray that we stand united and show the strength of our unity in this difficult time. Jai Hind!" Mohanlal wrote on Facebook.

Mohanlal was honored with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army in 2009. His involvement in the current crisis demonstrates his unwavering commitment to service and solidarity.
