Pawan Kalyan, affectionately known as the Power Star, is celebrating his birthday on Monday, September 2. This year is particularly notable as it marks his first birthday since taking on the role of Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Alongside his political duties, Pawan has three films in production: Hari Hara Veera Mallu (directed by Jyothi Krishna), Ustaad Bhagat Singh (directed by Harish Shankar), and OG (directed by Sujeeth).
Traditionally, Pawan Kalyan has shunned birthday celebrations, but his fans have been engaging in charitable activities throughout the Telugu-speaking states. This year’s birthday is significant for them, not only because of Pawan’s new political role but also as he holds portfolios in Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, and several other ministries.
Despite the excitement, the release of promotional content for his films has been postponed due to the severe floods affecting Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Pawan’s PR team has announced that there will be no film updates for now.
For Hari Hara Veera Mallu, the production team has constructed sets in Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh. Director Jyothi Krishna is working to schedule shooting around Pawan’s political commitments, but ongoing floods are likely to delay filming for a few weeks.
In the 2024 Andhra Pradesh elections, Pawan Kalyan, as the founder of the Jana Sena Party, demonstrated his political clout. Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded him during an NDA MPs meeting in Delhi, highlighting his significant impact on the political landscape. Pawan’s party achieved a historic win, securing all 23 contested seats (21 MLA and 2 MP) in the recent elections.
