The Telangana government is showing strong support for the Telugu film industry by granting special show permissions for new releases. In a recent move, the government issued a new Government Order (GO) favoring NTR's highly anticipated film, Devara. This decision not only allows for special screenings but also includes approved hikes in ticket prices, demonstrating the government's commitment to promoting regional cinema.
NTR, currently in Los Angeles for a special screening of Devara, expressed his gratitude on X (formerly Twitter) for the government’s backing. He thanked Telangana Chief Minister Sri Revanth Anumula and Cinematography Minister Sri Komati Reddy KVR for their support, emphasizing the positive impact of this initiative on the Telugu film industry.
According to the new regulations, an additional show will be available at 1 AM on the release day, with a ticket price increase of ₹100. Furthermore, six shows starting from 4 AM will also see a ₹100 hike in ticket prices. This pricing structure is applicable only on the first day. For the following ten days, there will be a ₹25 increase per ticket in single-screen theaters and a ₹50 increase in multiplexes.
On the release day, audiences can expect a total of six shows, beginning at 1 AM, followed by five shows from the second to the tenth day. This initiative aims to enhance the viewing experience for fans while maximizing revenue for the industry during the film's critical opening phase.
