Hasith Goli’s foray into cinema was not a premeditated dream but rather a serendipitous journey fueled by a desire for creative exploration. “Becoming a director was not a grand dream of mine while growing up,” he shares. After spending years in the IT sector, Hasith sought to tap into his creative side, leading him to the world of films—whether through lyrics or filmmaking. “For people wanting to explore their creativity, cinema offers the most diversity,” he notes.

Reflecting on his inspirations, Hasith cites notable filmmakers who have influenced him. “I was a huge fan of K Viswanath garu growing up; I have watched all his films. I admire Puri Jagannadh's writing and Trivikram's unique action sequences. Mani Ratnam is also a significant influence,” he reveals.

Hasith's collaborative spirit shines through in his work with actor Sree Vishnu. Having served as an Assistant Director on projects like Mental Madhilo and Brochevaruevarura, Hasith transitioned to directing with Raja Raja Chora and the upcoming film SWAG. Discussing their dynamic, he describes Sree Vishnu as a “natural comic,” highlighting that much of the humor comes from Vishnu himself rather than the script. “There is a lot of comfort when I’m working with him. I wouldn’t have graduated from an AD to a full-fledged director without his support and partnership,” Hasith states.

With SWAG, audiences can anticipate a new side of Sree Vishnu, as Hasith promises, “We went all out with this project.”
