The excitement surrounding the much-anticipated sequel, Pushpa 2, continues to build as the makers officially announced December 5 as the new release date during a press meet in Hyderabad. Starring National Award-winning actor Allu Arjun and directed by Sukumar, the film is set to be a significant event in the Telugu film calendar.

Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind this crime thriller franchise, is making extensive efforts to ensure that Pushpa 2 achieves a spectacular opening across all territories. During the press event, one of the producers made notable comments regarding the support from Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

The producer revealed that Pawan Kalyan and his government are fully cooperating with the film industry, specifically mentioning Kalyan's swift approval for a ticket price hike for Kalki 2898AD, indicating a welcoming approach to the needs of big-budget films. He quoted Pawan Kalyan as saying, "Ticket price 100 ah, inka penchukondi" (Increase more if you want), highlighting the Deputy CM's readiness to accommodate the industry's demands.

As ticket prices are crucial for a successful box office performance, Pushpa 2 stands to gain significantly from these hikes and the possibility of special screenings, similar to what was seen with NTR’s Devara. The previous administration under Jagan Mohan Reddy had imposed numerous restrictions on ticket price increases, which adversely affected the theatrical business in Andhra Pradesh.

The current shift in governance appears to be a breath of fresh air for Tollywood, paving the way for smoother operations and greater financial viability for big-ticket films.
