Suriya and director Siva are gearing up for the release of their prestigious period drama Kanguva, which hits screens on November 14th. The film’s promotional campaign is in full swing, particularly in the Telugu states, with a recent pre-release event held in Vizag.

During the event, Suriya took the opportunity to express his admiration for several prominent stars in the Telugu film industry. When asked about Pawan Kalyan, he described him as "the same in real and reel," noting his candid and open-hearted nature. He then quoted a memorable line from Prabhas’ film Mirchi, saying, “Cut out chusi, konni konni nammeyali,” highlighting their camaraderie.

Suriya shared a personal anecdote, revealing that he attended school with Mahesh Babu, who was his junior. He remarked, “Mahesh is in a different league now,” acknowledging the superstar's significant achievements. He also expressed his admiration for Allu Arjun’s dance skills and shared his eagerness for the second installment of Pushpa.

Turning his attention to Ram Charan, Suriya praised him as a "global actor" despite having only 15 films to his name. Regarding NTR, he commented on Tarak's pure Telugu diction and infectious energy, which leaves everyone amazed.

Suriya had special words for Megastar Chiranjeevi, recounting how he received heartfelt messages and wishes after winning a national award. Chiranjeevi made a personal effort to call and congratulate him, inspiring Suriya to start an NGO in Chennai.

Kanguva, which features Disha Patani and Bobby Deol among others, is a two-part film that connects a modern narrative with its period setting. Produced by KE Gnanvel Raja, the film boasts a substantial budget and is being promoted extensively in the North as well.
