Suriya noted, “She has worked on diverse projects like Srikanth, Shaitaan, Dabba Cartel, and Kaathal: The Core, which feature more interesting writing.” He acknowledged the unique challenges she faces in an industry often dominated by male directors.
Suriya also reflected on the importance of family dynamics, stating that women, like men, require time for themselves, including vacations and personal pursuits. He expressed pride in Jyotika's growth as an actress and her happiness in reconnecting with family in Mumbai.
The actor shared that living in Mumbai has improved their family life, allowing them to enjoy simple activities like drives and walks in the park. Their children now attend an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, providing them with excellent educational opportunities. Suriya emphasized the need for balance in his life, dedicating time to disconnect from work and enjoy peace with his family.
Suriya and Jyotika's love story began on the set of "Poovellam Kettuppar" in 1999, leading to their marriage in 2006. The couple welcomed their daughter Diya and son Dev in 2007 and 2010, respectively, and their commitment to family remains evident in their choices.
