This Sigma Guitar by CF Martin & Co. is a fairly unique model, which is DM-3M. Most DM-3 models are the
standard natural, spruce top model. This one appears to be all mahogany, hence the M after the number 3. As you
can see from the photos, it is in excellent shape with only some minor play where on the pickguard. Binding on the
top and bottom of the body are in great shape, no dings I can see. Martin Guitars are the oldest guitar maker in
America starting in 1833. These Sigma Guitars were made in Korea from 1984 to1994. So this guitar is atleast 30+
years old. Prior to 1984 the guitars were branded on the back inner brace like this one, which suggest it is an early
model, as it is reported that they changed to a paper label in Korea.
Don't be confused when looking on the internet as a German company bought the rights to Sigma Guitars from Martin
and are producing modern models you can get on Amazon.
