In a heart-wrenching incident in Pune, 35-year-old cricketer Imran Patel died from a cardiac arrest while playing a match at the Garware Stadium on Thursday. Imran, an all-rounder known for his fitness, had been experiencing chest and arm pain while batting. He informed the umpires and was permitted to leave the field. However, while returning to the pavilion, he suddenly collapsed. The entire event was caught on the live stream, showing teammates rushing to his aid before he was quickly taken to the hospital. Despite attempts to save him, doctors confirmed his death.

What made the incident even more shocking was that Imran was in excellent health, with no known medical conditions. A beloved figure in the community, Imran was also a local businessman who owned a cricket team and operated a juice shop. His untimely death has left family, friends, and fellow cricketers in deep shock.

Imran’s passing follows a similar tragedy earlier this year when cricketer Habib Shaikh died on the field due to complications from diabetes. Imran's death, however, came as a surprise, as he had no underlying health issues. He leaves behind a wife and three young daughters, including a four-month-old.
