Kavita is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern under the supervision of Megan R. Lee, LPC-S. She earned a Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to that, Kavita earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Kavita speaks Hindi and Gujarati.

During her internship as a graduate student, Kavita worked with adult female groups, individuals, soon-to-be married and married couples. She has also counseled women who have experienced abuse (physical, emotional, verbal and some sexual). Moreover, Kavita has gained experience in the areas of communication, conflict resolution, anger management, forgiveness, anxiety, depression, general life issues, some vocational stress, and also crisis counseling when it has been necessary.

Kavita was born in India and migrated with her family, to the land of opportunity, U.S.A. in 1985. From the age of seven she was raised in Arlington, Texas. Kavita was raised in a Hindu family but during her college years, became a follower of Christ. Kavita has been married to Michael since October 2009 and both reside in Las Colinas and are active members of Gateway Church in Southlake, TX.
