The adulteration of Tirumala laddu has ignited intense debate in the Telugu states due to its deep cultural significance among Hindus. Recent developments have intensified scrutiny, particularly towards AR Diary ghee, a supplier linked to this controversy.

According to a report from a national media agency, four samples of AR Diary ghee sent to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) have failed integrity tests, leading to significant concern among central authorities. The Food Safety Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued a show cause notice to AR Diary, highlighting potential irregularities in the quality of their products.

AR Diary, a supplier from Tamil Nadu, was brought into the fold during the Jagan government through a reverse tendering process. The issuance of a show-cause notice indicates that the FSSAI, which operates under central oversight, has identified clear suspicions regarding the quality of the ghee supplied to the TTD.

Such notices are typically issued only when substantial evidence of wrongdoing is present, underscoring the seriousness of the allegations. This controversy not only raises questions about the integrity of the ingredients used in one of Hinduism's most revered offerings but also reflects on the supplier selection process implemented by the current administration.
